What we accept (and don't)

A side-by-side look at every Ohio childcare assistance program — who qualifies, what families typically pay, and which ones work at All Around Children.

ProgramWho qualifiesTypical co-pay
PFCC
Publicly Funded Child Care
Accepted
≤ 145% FPL

Working, training, or job-searching families who need help paying for full-day care.

$0–$115/wk

Single family co-pay — not per child. Renewals stay covered up to 200% FPL.

CCVP
Child Care Choice Voucher Program
Accepted
146–200% FPL

Families just above PFCC limits who still need help affording quality care.

$350–$800/mo voucher

Flat voucher by age band; you pay the gap up to your center's tuition.

Protective care
Foster & Protective Child Care
Auto-eligible
Auto-eligible

Children in licensed foster care or protective-services placements with an active JFS case plan. Informal kinship arrangements follow standard PFCC/CCVP rules.

$0/wk

Copay waived, no income test — requires an active case plan under ORC 2151.412.

All three programs apply through your county Job & Family Services (JFS) office — we'll point you to the right one for your county.

A note on ECE grants: Ohio's Early Childhood Education grant funds preschool only at state-designated ECE provider sites. All Around Children centers are not currently ECE providers, so we cannot accept ECE-grant funding. Families looking for private-pay help can ask about our Family Start Grant or sibling discounts.
